| Strategic Land Planning Workshops: Tribal Leaders and Staff
The training courses will be developed for two audiences:
- A 4 to 6 hour session for tribal leaders taking into account the limited time available to tribal
officials.
- A two-day session for tribal planners, housing and natural resource staff, land office staff
and interested tribal officials.
Course curriculum and materials for the two courses are available from ILTF and can be developed
and adapted by tribal land office staff or others to meet a tribe’s specific needs. Tribal staff and their training experts, if
needed, can deliver the trainings. Upon completion of the training there will be sufficient data and
information collected that a strategic land plan could be a logical next step if the
tribe chooses to
follow through with a planning process. The two courses set the groundwork and put into a
framework the strategic land planning process.
